Air Brigadier Lieutenant Heraldo Luiz Rodrigues is the current general director of the Department of Airspace Control (DECEA). Born on April 18, 1962, he took up his current post on April 14, 2020.
Born in Mirandópolis (SP), the brigadier has training in the areas of Air Tactics, Fighter Pilot and Air Defense, Squadron Leader, Flight Instructor Preparation, Cryptography and Counter-Intelligence, International Air Traffic, Air Combat Simulator, War Electronics, in addition to career courses. He studied “Negotiation of International Contracts”, “Management for Total Quality”, “Post-Graduation in Projects” at Fundação Getúlio Vargas, “High Studies of Policy and Strategy”, at Escola Superior de Guerra.
Among his main positions, he was commander of the First Air Defense Group; officer of the Human Resources Advisory at the Office of the Air Force Commander; head of the Commission for Supervision and Enforcement of Contracts with the French Air Force; head of the Logistics and Heritage Advisory at the Office of the Air Force Commander; deputy head of the Air Force Commander’s Office; undersecretary of Contracts and Agreements of the Air Force Command; Undersecretary of Financial Administration of the Air Force Command; deputy secretary of the Aeronautical Economy and Finance Secretariat; director of the Aeronautical Economy and Finance Directorate; and Deputy Chief of Staff of the Air Force. Brigadier Heraldo Luiz Rodrigues was awarded the Order of Merit of Defense, Grand-Official Degree; Order of Naval Merit, Grand-Official Degree; Order of Military Merit, Grand-Official Degree; Order of Aeronautical Merit, Grand-Official Grade and Order of Rio Branco, Grand-Official Grade.
