Studies of a digital RF memory (DRFM) operation are necessary to verify its effectiveness in signal reproduction. A good tool for such analysis is a DRFM simulator since it has enough flexibility to vary its parameters. However, to provide reliable results, this simulator must be validated. In this paper, a DRFM simulator is validated through an emulation process using adequate electronic instrumentation. The results were satisfactory since minimal variations were observed when simulated and emulated pulses were compared regarding peak power, sidelobe level, pulse width, bandwidth, frequency, and noise floor.
