Lieutenant General Malta is a rotary wing pilot with more than 4,500 hours of flight time, has all of the career courses and various distinctions. He took on several prominent roles at FAB, such as Commander of the 7th squadron of the 8th Aviation Group, Chief of the Monitoring and Control Group in South Africa, President of the Coordinating Committee of the Combat Aircraft Program and Vice Secretary of the Air Force Economy, Finance and Administration Secretary.

Dean of the Federal University of Itajubá (UNIFEI)

Professor Edson da Costa Bortoni has a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Itajubá (UNIFEI) and a PhD in the same area from the University of São Paulo (USP). He was coordinator of the Master’s program in Energy Engineering at UNIFEI, Editor-in-Chief of Revista Brasileira de Energia, and Director of EXCEN – Center of Excellence in Energy Efficiency. He is currently President of the Brazilian Energy Planning Society and Secretary of the IEEE Electrical Machinery Committee. He has five published books, nine chapters in other books, two patents obtained, and almost 400 technical articles published in conferences and journals. Since 2020, he has held the position of Dean of the Federal University of Itajubá.

Director of the National Institute for Space Research (INPE)

Doctor Clezio Marcos De Nardin has a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM) and a doctorate in Spatial Geophysics from the National Institute for Space Research (INPE). He was General Manager of the Embrace Program (Brazil’s Space Weather Prediction Center) between 2012 and 2018, he was president of the Brazilian Society of Space Geophysics and Aeronomy (SBGEA) between 2013 and 2016, and he was deputy director of the International Space Environment Service. (ISES, an international organization dedicated to Space Weather) between 2016 and 2019. He is currently the General Coordinator of Space and Atmospheric Sciences at INPE and vice president of the Latin American Association of Space Geophysics (ALAGE).
